‘Our Waters’ — An IWI Film
Our Waters is a documentary film from the Indigenous Watersheds Initiative (IWI) that follows five Indigenous communities and organizations—Ts'il Kaz Koh First Nation, Hesquiaht First Nation, Quatsino First Nation, Stqeeye' Learning Society, and the Upper Fraser Fisheries Alliance—as they lead efforts to care for their watersheds. Rooted in community and place, the film offers an on-the-ground view of how these communities are holistically caring for land and water.
Through the lens of five IWI-funded projects, Our Waters offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the enduring relationships between water, culture, and community—highlighting Indigenous-led watershed stewardship across what is currently known as 'British Columbia', and the importance of continuing to support this work.
