Gitksan Watershed Authorities

The goals of this project include advancing the health, stewardship, and resilience of the Skeena watershed and Gitksan communities through a variety of activities. Activities include Gitksan-led and oriented restoration within the territories through direct collaboration with various huwilp (house groups). The project also integrates watershed restoration into other ongoing initiatives aimed at re-invigorating Gitksan knowledge systems, the re-occupation of territories, and the reprioritization of systems of reciprocity.
